Expectations and requirements for eHealth services in the Finnish public health care

Short description

The purpose of the study is to map attitudes and expectations of clinical managing doctors towards eHealth and its future development. The study was part of a broader eHealth research project performed by the HEMA institute. 249 questionnaires were sent out and 113 (45%) replies were received. The study indicates positive attitude of clinical managing doctors towards eHealth. In the study a sample of eHealth applications were under evaluation and their usefulness was confirmed. However, opinions about the applications’ contribution in saving working time varied. End user involvement in eHealth development was stressed out to be of particular importance.
