Healthcare Research Report - 8th Medix Survey re the NHS National Programme for IT (NPfIT)

Short description

The objective was to investigate the views about the National Programme for Implementing IT (NPfIT) of doctors practising in England and to consider how those views had changed since 2003, Medix having completed eight such surveys during that period. Respondents completed the survey on line. Respondents are over 1% of the 90,000 or so doctors who practice in England. Although a majority of doctors supports the thinking behind NPfIT and believes that it has the potential to benefit clinical care, doctors still know little about the project and their enthusiasm for it continues to decline.
