Flash Eurobarometre 126 “MIS Médecins généralistes”
The telephone survey Flash Eurobarometre 126 has been financed by the INFSO General Directorate of the European Commission. The interviews have been conducted in May and June 2002 by 15 EOS Gallup Europe Institutes. The targets for this Flash Eurobarometre have been defined by the European Commission as the General Practitioners active in the European Union. The sampling has been realised in each country on the basis of the published list of General Practitioners. The “constant fraction” procedure used guarantees the representativeness of each national sample for its universe. The sample size amounts to 80-400 practitioners, depending on the countries. They have been allocated in order to optimise the accuracy and the viability of the national as well as the European results. A weighting factor has been applied on the national results in order to compute the European Union marginal. This way each country influences the European result proportionally to its number of its GPs.
