ICT use by health providers in Wallonia (Belgium)
This study aims at informing about the state of the art of the use of ICT in the health actor. A survey has been conducted among different health professionals who have a private practice, which means that they practice at least in part in their own premises or offer home visits to their patients. The survey addresses questions on working conditions, and characteristics of the health professionals, the availability of computer, internet and other ICT infrastructure, as well as on their use and the satisfaction with the ICT equipment available. Other topics include the use of electronic health records and the exchange of medical patient data.

1358 health professionals, sample drawn from 85% of health professionals listed by INAMI and having a landline telephone, no quota system used due to lack of detailed information about the universes. However results (male/female, age groups..) correspond more or less to expectations.
